It’s Friday, it’s good food month, it must be lunch!
Today we are off to Bishop Sessa for a beautiful duck lunch with a matching Tempranillo. It’s a Corned Burrawong Gaian duck leg, with pumpkin & coffee puree, duck fat fudge, and carrots. We’re drinking the Castillo Rodafuerte Tempranillo 2014 La Roda Spain with it, a lovely drop. K decides to go with the stunning looking potato wrapped braised organic Wagyu, with coal grilled mushroom puree and lentils. The conversation and wine flows and flows.
Eventually we give in to a dessert, the milk chocolate tart with salted peanut caramel, popcorn, and peanut butter ice cream – OMG! Blows us out of the water. So we have to head up the road to the pub and find another bottle of Tempranillo to celebrate. Thats a good Friday!
