Finding desserts in Flinders Lane
Having had our savoury fix elsewhere, we head to Flinders Lane to find desserts and cocktails. As usual, Flinders Lane does not fail. We settle on Papa Goose, a restaurant with a nice industrial edge to it. And they some very charming waiters too. Now scroll down the page and see how beautiful these desserts are! And not just pretty, there’s an intensity of flavour in each too.
Lemon myrtle cheesecake, lemon curd, mandarin sorbet & pistachio sponge satisfies the citrus spot nicely. Hazelnut & honey parfait, chocolate crumb, chocolate sorbet and dumpling give us a chocolate fix every which way. Rosewater compressed watermelon, berries, berry meringue and basil sorbet is as fresh and fruity as any dessert can possibly be. I wash my one down with a nice Pedro Ximenez.
Must be time to head up the stairs in Papa Goose, to the atmospheric bar for a cocktail – yum!
Do you like to just have a dessert night, or maybe you have a favourite spot for your favourite dessert?
